Episode 20

Vladimir starts to investigate his fathers murder. He gathers all the servants together and asks if anyone has any suspicions.Vladimir tells that he’s going to interview all one by one and find the one who poisoned the Baron. Then Karl Modestovits walks in and says he wants to talk with Vladimir. All the servants leave and Modestovits says he knows who killed Baron.

Mihail tries to comfort Anna who is very upset over the Barons death. They also wonder who killed him. Anna has a strong opinion that is was Karl Modestovits because he was fired and is a cruel person. Mihail doesn’t believe that Modestovits would be capaple of doing such a thing, but Anna convinces him. They remember how they saw Modestovits trying to take the brandy and act all sneaky

Sychykha keeps Lisa in her cabin and has drugged her with “healing tea”. Lisa says she must return to home, everyone must be worried and looking for her. Sychykha says that no one looks for her, she must stay there for some time... Her destiny is to marry Vladimir. And she promises to tell Lisa a secret conserning her death father. Then Andrey and Tatjana show up at the cabin.

The empress has invited Natalia to her. She asks if Natalia is helping Olga to meet her son. She tells that it’s very wrong that they seperated Aleksandr and Olga and forbidded them to see each other. Then Natalia lies that she isn’t helping Olga. She is helping them to meet before Olga leaves to Poland. At the same time The tsar and his party, including Aleksandr, are hunting wild boar. Natalie then goes to the forest and tells the prince that he will see Olga the last time ant that Olga is waiting him in the carriege. He must act fast to catch her. Aleksandr is very happy and he tells Natalia how brave she must be lying to the empress. Natalia insist he leaves at once to see Olga.

Vladimir tells Modestovits that he suspects that he did it. Modestovits then defends himself and tells all sort of lies to him. Then Vladimir asks who killed his father. Anna, he says.Vladimir has hard time believing this accusation, but Modestevits lies how Anna was always interested about financial situation of the estate. He also says that only by Barons death would Anna have her freedom. He gives the release-paper to Vladimir. This seems to make Vladimir think... He than hires Modestovits back to find the killer. He can’t just accuse Anna, he too wants proof. Modestovits promises to find the killer.

Olga and Aleksandr meet in her carriege as she is on her way to Poland. They make love and have a very tiery and emotional farewell. Aleksandr says that he will never forget her, but when Olga says that they can write to each other he refuses. It would be too painful. Their time together has run out. They both cry and then she leaves.

Episode 21

Mrs. Dolgoruki and her daughter Sonia are visiting Mr. Dolgorukis grave. Sonya is telling her father about things that are happening and all her worries. She then says how much she wished he was still alive, they would all be happy again and Lisa woudn’t have to marry Zabalujev. Her mother then says that they wouldn’t be any happier that way.

Andrei and Tatjana speak with Sychyka, but she says she can’t help them. She hasn’t seen Lisa. Andrei then tells her that Baron Korf has died. This seems to upset her very much. Tatjana and Andrei decide to leave and Sychykha goes inside and starts to breake stuff and all she says is: “He was killed”. Lisa assumes that she means her father. Then she knocks Lisa unconcsious and leaves.

Anna goes to speak with Vladimir about her information and suspicions concerning the killer. But she’s not aware that Modestovits is in the room. Anna says that she’s got proof that it was Modestovits but Vladimir seems to doubt her, but acts very civil, he doesn’t judge or accuse her. Then he tells that he has hired Modestovits back and then Anna notices him. Anna accuses him of being the murderer, and he accuses Anna. Then Vladimir lets Anna leave.

In St. Petersburg, Natalia goes to see her uncle, the head of the theatre. Her goal is to get him to take her with him to Korf’s estate. He is going to go and hear Anna perform, and Natalia is planning to with him and meet Andrei. Her uncle doesn’t like her plan and says that it’s not proper.

Andrei tries to question Tatjana about Lisa’s dissapearence. But Tatjana is still too scared to tell anything but that it was all her fault.

Mihail tells Vladimir about his and Annas suspicions concerning Modestovits. Vladimir then reveals that he doesn’t believe that Anna is the killer, he thinks Modestovits is. He only hired him back so to keep on eye on him and his actions. They must have proof. His plan is to keep him close and not to let him escape.

Natalias uncle finally agrees to take her with him, saying that love is the most important thing in life.

Mihail tries to calm Anna down by saying that Vladimir doesn’t think that she’s the killer. Anna is still scared that Modestovits will win.

Vladimir questions Varvara about the poisones she keeps at the kitchen. She tells that no one else has accses to them but her. EXCEPT, she says, Karl Modestovits keeps some of them in the stables...

Episode 22

Aleksandr decides to get rid of everything that reminds him of Olga. Everything except the cross she gave him when they last met. The Tsar and the Empress come to room and say it is time for him to get married. He must choose a fitting bride for him, the future Empress for Russia.

Andrei and Tatiana are both very conserned about Lisa and this brings them together. They share a tender moment, but then Natalia arrives and brakes that.

At the palace, Aleksandr is not very happy about his parents decision. Olga has just left and they want him to marry! Aleksandr acts very hostile, but decides to choose a bride right away. He mentions several candidates and his parents are very approval. They are pleased that he has finally come to his senses. The Tsar says that it is Aleksandrs decision and he can make his mind. So Aleksandr makes his choice, he decides to take the one that is not allowed, Princess Marie of Hessen-Darmstadt. She is illegitimate, ‘cause she’s a bastard. He only made this decision so to piss off his parents. The Empress says that this will never happen!

Polina and Modestovits make their cruel plans to make it seem like Anna is the murderer. Mihail comes just when the two are fooling around and kissing. Polina leaves and Mihail questions Modestovits again about the murderer. He says that he has a suspect, but he needs proof. Mihaol says than he also has a suspect and needs proof. Than Mihail tries to seduce Polina to tell him about Modestovits plans. He only find out how jelous Polina is for Anna.

Anna and Vladimir both go to say goodby to Baron. Anna cries and so does Vladimir. They share their memories and have a warm and tender moment. They help each other to deal with grief. They share their first intimate moment when Anna tells that Baron has always been proud of his son and that he loved Vladimir very much. This is everything that he has always wanted to hear.

Andrei is surprised that Natalie has come to his home. He says that it’s not the best time for her to visit, Lisa is missing and they are all worried. Natalie then asks Tatiana to fix her glove. Andrei just looses it and starts yelling that he can’t stand people like her who think that they have the right to boss other people around. Natalia is of course hurt by this and leaves back for St.Petersburg.

At the palace, the Empress says that Marie is not fitting because she is a bastard and she could never be royal. Aleksandr then says that maybe he wont be a Tsar then. The Tsar must agree with Aleksandr and let him make his own decision.Aleksandr then tells his mother that he doesn’t think that the Tsar will allow this marriage. But if he can’t marry Marie, he won’t marry anyone.

Platonovits asks Sonja to marry him, if they don’t find Lisa. She is horrified, and says that THEY WILL FIND LISA.

Andrei goes to Tatianas room to apologise what happened with Natalia. He says that he has always tought her as his friend, never as a slave. And they both say that they have missed and tought each other a lot. Then they kiss and make love.

At the Barons funeral, everyone is sad. Or at least they pretend to be like Modestovits and Polina. Modestovits threats Anna, Mihail then threats Modestovits and everyone are shocked when Syschia walkes in...

Would it be possible to get summary for episode 49? I missed that one, and I want to know what happened. Or maybe it's episode 50, I'm not entirely sure... But in the previous episode, Vladimir had proof that Zabalujev was the murderer and he was arrested, and Anna was brought to mrs. Dolgorukaya to be punished for running away.
